Dam of Lake Plastiras
An impressive concrete structure, an elegant arch that seems to embrace the huge volume of water of the lake, is a beautiful spot to gaze at the lake, but also at the back side of the dam that plunges to a depth of 83m, vertically between the rocks. A little further down, at the location of Moucha, you can admire the fjords of the lake and the islet of Niaga. It is also an opportunity for shopping as on one side of the bridge, beautiful little shops and stalls have been set up by local producers. On them, someone can find tasteful souvenirs as well as local products, such as trahanas, noodles, tsipouro, sweets and honey to halva, wine, cheeses and various other traditional products.
Holy Monastery of Panagia Pelekiti
The Holy Monastery of Panagia Pelekiti is considered one of the rarest religious monuments of the 16th century. Here, you can admire many important relics such as holy gospels, manuscripts, church utensils and much more. Don’t forget to notice the magnificent wood-carved iconostasis and the frescoes that adorn the temple. The monastery celebrates the memory of the Virgin Mary every August 15th.

Botanical garden
This is an area of 10 acres in which part of the floral elements of the wider area of Lake Plastira, but also of Greece in general, have been collected and stored.
Every year it receives a large number of visitors, either students in the context of environmental education or a multitude of other groups or individual visitors who wish to obtain more and more specialized information about the flora of the area.
The Botanical Garden is open all year round. Visitors have the opportunity to take a guided tour, buy aromatic plants and herbs, drink coffee and soft drinks, and take a short walk to the lake, which is just 50m away.
